Iran is ready to reinitiate nuclear discussions with the United States provided that it is approached with "dignity" and "respect", Tehran's top diplomat has stated.

Abbas Araghchi stated only diplomacy worked, and shared fresh requests had originated from go-betweens to reopen talks with the US government. He claimed Iran did not have unreported enrichment locations, and Tehran was not yet able to allow the global atomic watchdog to visit struck enrichment centers for protective measures.

Walking a Challenging Course

Araghchi is navigating a challenging course since Iran does not want be perceived to be acting from a position of weakness, and he consistently maintained that Iran had emerged stronger in military terms and emotionally from the coordinated strike on its atomic facilities in June.

He was addressing at a strategic meeting in Tehran where he reiterated that Iran had "an absolute privilege to refine atomic fuel domestically that it will always maintain" – the key factor of the deadlock in the earlier negotiations.

Earlier Talks Abruptly Terminated

The earlier sessions of discussions between the United States and Iran were brought to an abrupt and hostile end on 12 June when Israel, with American backing, targeted Iranian nuclear sites in a two-week conflict that concluded with the American leader claiming the locations had been obliterated. Subsequently, EU nations used their right to restore global restrictions, but Iran maintains they have not had a significant effect.

Perfect Agreement Offered

Iranian officials claimed they felt they had attained a "magic solution" to the uranium processing matter in earlier negotiations, when it was agreed an Iran-based consortium with Washington's engagement could process nuclear material. The two nations would have been able to assert triumph since home-based processing would have continued and the US could be assured that Iran's atomic project was exclusively peaceful.

It had not been settled in the discussions that US nuclear scientists could work inside Iran, but that was a natural consequence of the partnership suggestion. Officials asserted repeatedly they had secured an understanding with Washington's diplomat Steve Witkoff only for the agreement to collapse due to "opponents in the US".

Current Position

Iranian officials declared the cooperative arrangement was now withdrawn, but it seems very probable the suggestion could be reintroduced in certain ways if talks resume.

The Iranian foreign ministry has been accused of inactivity in the aftermath of Washington's unmediated tactics, but Iran asserts diplomacy is not part of a spectacle.

Political Standpoint

In his address to the gathering, aimed to paint the US as a controlling nation that misuses the notion of global regulations, Araghchi stated the two-week conflict showed the conflict could not be ended by military means. He said the attacks started with a American requirement for an unconditional Iranian surrender and culminated with an absolute demand for a truce.

Iran is certain the first strikes by Israel were carried out with total Washington understanding and cooperation, making faith difficult to restore.

Negotiations Remains the Primary Answer

The foreign minister declared: "Tehran was not the one that had deserted diplomacy; it was the United States and the European states that had always sought to enforce their demands during the discussions. Dialogue can still be viable and stays the primary answer to address conflicts, but its requirements, rules and principles must be followed."

"In case they address to the nation of Iran with the approach of dignity and honor, they will obtain a reply in the same tone."

Restoration and Recovery

In what is characterized by Tehran representatives as the battle of repair and rebuilding, Araghchi said he was assured Iran's defence capabilities "are much stronger than prior to 13 or 14 June of this year. Our entire military infrastructure have been reestablished. We learned many lessons from this conflict; we have come to know our internal vulnerabilities and the weaknesses of the opponent."

He stated: "We effectively endured this war. Our atomic expertise, which they planned to destroy, stays intact. The installations and gear, if destroyed, will be reconstructed; what is essential is the determination of the nation of Iran and then the national cohesion that they targeted, but failed to shatter. The nation of Iran have developed more resilient, more united, and more endorsing of the administration and the state in the aftermath of this assault."
